Illegal to buy painkillers from a friend

why would you want to buy PAINKILLERS from a friend that are readily available across the counter in a pharmacy ?

Lets face it your not talking about painkillers are you your talking about harder drugs and if you bought them then you are guilty of possession and as such you should be prosecuted without exception Its your own fault for getting involved with Drugs in the first instance You reap what you sow.

Yes, you and your friend would be in trouble. Do you really want to take the chance on them believing that you just bought narcotics to bust your friend? Why did not you let the cops know, instead of just buying the narcotics? The cops would have set up a sting to bust your friend.

Yes, it is illegal and it can be used against you and them in court if the prosecutor wishes to pursue it in separate charges. The best thing to do in this instance is to not bring it up. If you are asked about it, then plead the fifth unless there is an immunity deal already in place.

As for who would be in the most trouble, the court system tends to judge the dealer more harshly than the buyer, but it really depends on the situation.

It is up to the police to prove that someone is selling pills. Not you. I think you could get in troble for buying/selling them. It depends on the case and if it is relevant. I would speak to your/a lawyer before you said anything.. just to protect your own butt.

it depends how long ago it happened for you to face charges. but if you can prove that there are none in your system currently, you should be fine. but im no lawyer
