How do I help a friend addicted to prescription painkillers

Honestly, there is not much u can do if he does not think he has a problem. There is always the option of an intervention, but then u run the risk of that person not trusting u any longer & resenting u for planning the intervention behind their back. But I have to tell u this, from my own personal experience: If this person continues using painkillers, he will have to eventually upgrade to a stronger drug. Once a person builds up a tolerance to these things, the pills no longer get them high & they do not experience the euphoria they once felt when they first started using. I've seen people start using heroine after the pills started to do nothing for them. So while an intervention may seem like an inconvenience right now, u may be saving someone is life in the future. Good luck with everything. I mean that from the bottom of my heart. Good luck.

There is not much you can do. If you are very close friends, let him know that you disapprove of his habit. If you are persistent, eventually it will kick in that it is not cool to be strung out on prescription painkillers around you and his friends.
